Sony LDAC: Does it really work to reduce latency ?

Has anyone ever tried connecting Sony headphones with LDAC to another Sony Product like a TV or BluRay player that also has LDAC? I am wondering if Sony’s Bluetooth codec really makes a difference for latency and quality. For anyone considering which headphones to buy for general usage it would be good to know if pairing Sony headphones with other Sony Equipment makes a real difference.
