I’m having some trouble where the black levels do not appear as I think they should. I am running through HDMI 2. If I raise the black levels too high, blacks are grey. If I lower it to where they are deep black, then the rest of the image is too dark. I’m not sure what’s going on. I’ve noticed this with Resident Evil 2 on Xbox One X and now Demon’s Souls with PS5.

So I did check with my LG OLED and the black levels are way way better. The Sony is a FALD so there is definitely something wrong. Black levels should not appear grey. 4K HDR is supposed to be on HDMI 2 and 3. I’ve tried both. I have it on game mode, brightness max, contrast max, black level at 32 (but even lower or higher it doesn’t get any better) and dynamic contrast and all of that stuff at max. I’ve tried it all off, all high. Nothing makes it better. I’ve checked and I have the newest update.
