Poor Video Reviews

The problem I have with the video reviews at RTINGS.com, after watching several video reviews at RTINGS.com is that the presenters always present with the test results, but in reality, viewers don’t see that kind of thing. For example, when showing the local dimming: RTINGS.com video reviews always show the round or oval-shaped ball or square box moving around the screen at different speeds. I get it, that is how you do the test in your lab. But in reality, viewers don’t see that kind of thing. To show to the viewers what actually local dimming affects that particular TV, it would be more meaningful to the viewers by showing the real TV scenes and highlighting where’s the local dimming comes in. For example, if a TV has the blooming effect, then shows the subtitles in a dark background, that would illustrate to the viewers what the viewers actually see on the TV the effect of the blooming and appreciate the local dimming effects on that particular TV, rather than simply moving the ball or square around the tv screen. I find that some other video reviews on youtube do a much better job in showing the reviews to the viewers, because they show the actual scenes, rather than showing a whole bunch of lab results.
