What can I buy that is actually available? In Canada and frustrated shopping for printers.

I don’t think there is anything worse when it comes to tech than shopping for printers. I have tried 3 or more times in less than 6 months to pick something out and it is made even harder when you get recently made printers that are now in stock absolutely nowhere. It also seems there is always a tradeoff picking one over another. These companies often do these sort of things out of greed but sometimes it is just non-sensical. I would love to be able to get the Epson EcoTank ET-3760 but can’t find it anywhere. I did look at the HP Smart Tank Plus 551 Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer but can’t remember why I set it aside not making it my top choice. Look, as a consumer I want the most I can get for a decent price and this is much easier to do shopping for almost anything else so with that said I will say I need a printer for the following …

I need it to print black and white at the cheapest price possible as most of the time I will be printing off large amounts of stat sheets from baseball sims I play. I am talking about printing off all the box scores, team related and player related stats including player card pages so yeah it is a boat load. Now with that said I don’t want to give up decent color printing completely as I want to print my own baseball sim cards at home and some of the games I would be buying use color coding for gameplay. Also while I can just print out stuff using regular paper I guess it would be nice to be able to use 100 lb. cardstock or similar so what I print out can last. As for photos I guess I would like them to not look like crap in terms of banding or whatever. I don’t want to see lines all over the place. As for color accuracy I am the type of person that doesn’t mind what some call fake looking rich colors. I don’t want reds looking pink or anything but I don’t mind lesser quality. The amount of photos I would print off would be minimal. I honestly can’t think of 10 photos I would want to print off right now. Oh and also printing on both sides of the paper easily would be nice and as for a scanner I really don’t think it is a need at all considering how much is out there on the net to use for material for projects. Can’t believe scanning is still a thing. As for silly crap like using a phone or tablet to print off stuff I don’t care. I do like the idea of using a USB stick although not really needed as I will always have a pc. Also I am going to use 3rd party ink so if that is next to impossible to do with a printer you want to recommend forget it. I can handle doing whatever is needed to use 3rd party ink btw. Finally for me an investment of $400 plus tax or gosh forbid $499 plus tax is expensive although I have spent much more on a video card before. I am dirt poor and bottom of the barrel and I don’t mind saying that so I get a proper direction as to what I should buy.

Sooooo anyway that is that. It would be nice to have just found the ET-3760 readily available but nope. Thanks to anyone that reads this. Help right now would greatly be appreciated. I have put a deadline on buying this at 30 days and honestly it has to be far less so I don’t spend money I have set in place for this.

Finally, as much as it would hurt to do, I could spend $700 to $750 on a printer, if it was really going to make me really happy well into the future. The stress level that I have gotten from shopping for this each and every single time has not been good. I need something nice and I need it now. I am tired of waiting on a purchase. I have done my research and it is just so hard to decide so I need help with it.

PS: I don’t usually spend money on this sort of thing but I signed up for your insider thing at $10 US so yeah I am really needing help. : S Also a guy on Facebook in the sports card and dice group I am swears by the EPSON EcoTank 2720 stating … “actually paid close to $300US for mine at Office Depot several months back. So far I’ve printed off 3 full seasons of Statis Pro Baseball plus all 1960s World Series teams, in addition to my normal printing. And I have used about 1/8 of my black.”
