Hi,
Just bought the 91 (the different tv stand than the 90) and I wish to give my recommendation from a gamers view. This tv will be used 95% with a PS5 and 5% Netflix 4k material.
First off, i returned the Samsung q60t 75" after 3 days. Secondly, iโve read and watch everything there is on the 86,90,95 and 99. Even used google translate a few times lol.
Anywayโฆ The guys at rtings are very good at what they do so i will not go into any discussion regarding the technical. Simply because iโm not very good at it.
The 90/91 is a beast when it comes to gaming. It has everything you need, everything! If your on the fence about the nano series for gaming, stop reading and go buy it. Simple as that.
Now, watching movies on it.. Itโs good, but not superb. There is light leak and not as bright in hdr as one would wish for. But i will use it for gaming so no worries there.
So as I said earlier, i bought the q60t 75 inch (owned a 65 inch older lg before that, no hdr) because i wanted the size and thought 60hz would be fine. It was far from fine. Judder/motion blur was driving me nuts. No matter what settings i tried, games like rdr2, cod mw, R6, dirt rally 2, hunt showdown, project cars 2 and so on.. All had poor quality when panning the camera. So from a gamers viewpoint it was unbareable. Watching movies was fine (other from an angle) so i went back to the store and decided to go down to 65 inch again but go a step up in quality.
Sure i do miss the immersion of 75 inch while gaming, but everything else is just so freckinh good with the nano so i keep forgetting about screen size while gaming. Playing R6 siege in butter smooth 60/120 fps with much better textures and hdrโฆ Hard to beat.
TL:DR If your a gamer, donโt hesitate, buy it.
Pros: Magic remote VRR ALLM Colour WebOS 5.0 Apps Settings 2 hdmi 2.1 Picture clarity Smoothness Response time Earc and optical (using mine with lg soundbar) Price
Cons: Light leak Not pitch black Not as bright in hdr Stand is wobbly (90 is probably better with two feet at each side) The chassi does not feel premium.
Thanks for reading and happy gaming.
