As far as we know the Automatic Pixel Refresher = short compensation cycle and the Pixel Cleaning = Long compensation cycle.
While it’s hard to say for sure, based on our knowledge and the information you provided, “Quick check” checks to see if it’s (being the long compensation cycle) required while you can still force-run it should you have any specific issues. I know that isn’t conclusive, but hope it helps!
The Quick Check option still requires the tv to be turned off, took around 5minutes to complete. Upon completion it left a message “Pixel Cleaning process has completed” and nothing else. I didn’t try the full pixel cleaning option as many others have said never to run it unless you have problems with the screen as it’s detrimental to the longevity of the TV. Is there any truth of that?

LG engineers have confirmed you can run it as often as you like with no detrimental effects on the longevity of the TV. You’ll just get diminishing returns, so there is really no point in running it manually twice in a row. Also, it runs automatically, so there would be no need to run it manually unless you’re experiencing some sort of uniformity issue. Hope that helps!
