There is a problem with how the Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X detect the audio passthrough capabilities of TCL TVs, often giving an Xbox error code 0x80bd0009 whenever a user tries to enable audio bitstream output. When the bitstream format is set to 'Dolby Digital' everything works fine, but 'DTS' bitstream is not supported when the Xbox's 'TV Output' is set to 'Auto Detect'. When 'TV Output' is 'HDMI' both formats work, but 4K and HDR won't work. We advise Xbox owners to leave 'TV Output' as 'Auto Detect' and use Dolby Digital instead of DTS, as nearly all 5.1 surround sound sources support both Dolby Digital and DTS output.
