Local dimming in Game mode

Hi Rtings team!

Before I purchase the Q9FN, I have a question regarding the local dimming with game mode turned on. I have read from numerous sources that the black levels get elevated drastically when the game mode is turned on due to the TV dialing down on the post processing features to decrease input lag. Is this true? And if so, how big of a difference?
