"Art mode" options for non-Frame TVs

Given that the general consensus on this TV is that you don’t get it unless you want that art mode functionality, because there are much better quality TVs for the same or cheaper price. Has anyone looked at the artcast app or similar options (if they exist)?

Seems like $36-$48 a year for an art-mode screensaver is the answer, but there’s got to be something I’m missing otherwise - why wouldn’t you go that route? Thanks!
