New house with covered lanai in FL—want new tv—space allows for 48-55” in case we mount and swivel it Wall it will be on is in deepest part of patio in shade more often than not but still glare from pool. We have used an older small RCA non-smart TV w/Roku at other house for over 8 yrs off and on so I know cheaper TVs can hold up. What is best tv for glare mitigation under $500…just in case it doesn’t. Will use bluetooth speakers to bring sound to us
figured i’d update, new software update fixed all the ghosting issues. US firmware update, youll have to download from USB.
I could do that. But it’s just pretty crappy that a tv at this price rangehas a glaring issue like this. Hopefully Samsung will bring out a software update to fix this.
They may have, the auto update feature on Samsung products is crap, they have a new update 1115.5, go to the Samsung.com/support area, search for the tv, and see if the update they have there is the one you currently have. I had to manually update with a usb stick.
I just leave mine at low and increase the brightness. Also set St.2084 to max. Local dimming will also darken your picture when a subtitle displays.
Game mode will sacrifice picture quality for lower input lag. It’s very noticeable when playing FPS games.
I haven’t seen this issue with mine, perhaps you have a faulty set?
As you wish :)
