Hello could you retest the behavior of local dimming and overall brightness on the newest 2300.9 firmware updates? There are some voices that it changed by a lot and it behaves like on 2022 models. HDR looks punchier, overall brightness looks bit better and It has raised Blacks without loosing details. SDR picture also behaves differently.

I am having same glitches on FI32U while playing Escape from Tarkov, but it happens on both sides of the screen. I also have colour glitches on static images when browsing. Like this listing on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07X47ZQ5V Has 2 big purple squares on zoomed in image of blue jacket and on his face I also see this pink tint. Funniest part is I am using Gigabytes 3080Ti card…

Thanks for sharing this information with us. Does this happen with other content? or does it only seem to happen with this particular game? Also, if you could elaborate on your specific setup, that would be awesome. If we try to replicate the issue it helps to have as much information as possible! :)

So after initially noticing this issue in EFT on Shoreline map during sunny weather while looking at foliage, I started noticing same issue in Witcher 3 while exploring a forest at the start of the game and Battlefield 1 while playing conquest on Argonne Forest map yesterday on objective D. Moreover I noticed purple tint glitch while watching a video on YouTube.

The only solution I found is to drop refresh rate to 120Hz and then you can run 8bit or 10bit. Interesting fact is when I connected the monitor using HDMI 2.1 cable provided in a box I was able to select 12bit in NVCP does 12bit even exist?

According to Gigabytes support page my monitor uses latest firmware version F02 released on 2021/07/19.

    System Specs:

    AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Asus PRIME X570-PRO G.SKILL F4-3200C14Q-32GTZR Trident Z RGB Series 32 GB (8 GB x 4) DDR4 3200 MHz PC4-25600 CL14 Dual Channel Memory Kit Gigabyte GeForce RTX™ 3080 Ti VISION OC 12G driver version 471.96 Samsung 960 Pro 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD x2 Windows 10 Pro 64bit Version 21H1

Thank you so much for the additional information. I’ll be sure to share this with our team and we’ll keep an eye out for further reports of this. I’m also glad to hear you seem to have found a solution. As for the 12-bit thing, this isn’t something we test for, so I can’t say for sure. However, since it has HDMI 2.1 support, it definitely could be ‘real’ 12-bit. The issue is that nothing actually works with 12-bit so it’s basically just as much color information as possible. Hope this helps! :)

Can report I have the same issues and have reported this to Gigabyte but have not had a response. It’s been over two weeks since I lodged this with them.

I waited for 3 weeks before I got a reply. I was suggested to try monitor with other computer or other output cable and if that didn’t help I should RMA it as they can’t say much without examining the monitor.

I bought the monitor pretty early, and had the same issue. I discovered that what triggered the color bug was the framerate. Anything above 133Hz showed this bug, which is why for a while I used the monitor at 120Hz to avoid it

After upgrading to the new firmware I can confirm that this bug has been solved, and now I use my monitor with its full 144Hz glory.
