Problem with DV Dark picture setting.

If I match the settings up, it seems that dark and normal DV are the same picture with no color change.

The only difference, Is it appears DV normal has the backlight increased by about 25%. What makes it difficult to tell if this is really true, is the picture won’t change unless a movie/show is actively playing. When I pause the change won’t take effect until about 2 seconds after playing.

It would be nice if DV normal is as accurate as DV dark, as DV dark is really dark making it hard to see unless I turn out all the light (not possible during the day). Note this isn’t an issue in normal HDR content. HDR dark is clearly different than HDR normal and changing between them doesn’t reduce the backlight.
