The voting is only one way we decided which products to buy and test. In this case, we bought and tested it because our product manager considered it to have high potential compared to the other keyboard on on our list. Throughout our research, we noticed a peak of interest for this keyboard, so we decided to buy it.

Hi CookieClearer, I think there may have been some confusion on my end, and I apologize for that. Essentially, all I was trying to convey is that we identified this as a product that users seemed to be interested in, so we decided to buy it. We do our best to ensure the products we buy and test are in line with what users want to see us review, so there’s a wide variety of factors at play and not one specific thing. One thing to keep in mind is that the products in our suggestion list tend to be more enthusiast oriented, so we try out best to fill in the gap on our end. In our experience, a large number of our users also care about budget/mid range options, which is why we opted to purchase this keyboard. Once again, I apologize for the confusion, but I hope this clears things up a bit!

Thanks for the suggestions! We’ll get them add here. So, if there’s enough interest at any point, we’ll buy and review them!
Update: We’ve converted this review to Test Bench 1.2. This update introduces new Backlight Features and Backlight Clarity test boxes. We’ve also added a new Switches test box, added additional test comparisons to our Ergonomics test box, and made some minor adjustments to the scoring of our Hardware Customizability test box that we introduced with our last Test Bench. I understand that this model of keyboard has gone through several internal revisions - the exterior stays the same, but the internals have changed a few times as Dell changes which OEM produces it for them.
I think the “Gaming” score should be changed to 0 on principle.
On a rubber-dome board, multiple keys share communication lines and because of this it is possible for combinations of keys, when held down, to block the inputs of other keys. This is a different thing to rollover.
On the one I have (KB216t3, manufacturing date June 2022), W + Shift blocks the spacebar. This keyboard won’t let you run and jump.

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve brought this up to our testing team, and they’ll see if our unit experiences the same issue as yours. We’ll update the review as soon as we find out.

Update: We’ve retested the Chord Split after seeing reports that this keyboard blocks the spacebar while pressing W and shift, but we found that our unit didn’t experience the issue.
