Do ratings on older TV's compare to new ones?

Hi there!

I am looking at replacing my old TV, a Vizio P65-E1 with something newer. I know that the bench guide/testing methodology has changed since then but I am curious about how best to compare the numbers from an old review like this one to a new TV. Obviously technology has improved in 4 years, but does a 8.0 from 2017 equal the same level of quality/performance as an 8.0 in 2021? Or would a 8.0 now be as good as say a 9.0 from 2017?
