Purchased CX 55” and its great. I especially like Filmmaker mode. But after three days started seeing flashing and blocking when scenes transition from bright to dark. It’s usually around the edges of the screen. With letterbox movies the top and bottom black borders occasionally flash/strobe during dark scenes. Full screen movies with dark almost black scenes like Blade Runner you see the whole screen flash/strobe intermittently. So far only seeing this with UHD movies . Not tv or streaming. The UHD player and cables are the same ones I used with my C8 with no issues but played same movies on a backup player and still saw flashing on the CX. LG has given me choice to exchange at retailer or have it serviced. Im going to exchange and hope this was just a fluke and I get same picture quality. Curious if this issue was observed during testing? Has anyone else experienced it? I know this issue occurred in previous models but thought it was fixed by an update…. will post update when I get new tv. *edit: changing contrast to 99 in HDR settings stops the flashing. Already ordered 2nd tv. Will wait to return current one when new one arrives. Will do side by side comparison To see if same issue is present on 2nd tv.
