It is a shame Rtings got a unit with substantial DSE. I have none on my set. I have had the TV for about a month now and absolutely love it. I will say that Smartcast sucks. It just does. But I am running Roku on mine. 4K and 1080 images are unbelievable at this price point. Contrast and color really make it pop. I agree that anything below 1080 is just bad. So if you are watching a lot of that content you may want to skip this set. I spent some time at a local retailer comparing the M quantum and the TCL 6 series side by side. And IMO there is no comparison. The M reminds me of Qled just not as bright and washed out. Pick one up and give it shot. But with some reports of DSE out there you may be playing the panel lottery a little bit.
