If you set MotionFlow to ‘Custom’, and adjust the ‘Smoothness’ slider, does this help at all? What about if you set CineMotion to either ‘Medium’, or ‘High’?

Did changing these settings help? I am about to purchase this tv soon. Just want to see if you were able to get sports to play smooth

Hello, I own the Sony A8F in the 55 inch and my experience with motion issues have been frustrating. However, I recently set the motionflow to custom, and clearness to one, and CineMotion to low. No more motion issues. If I see ticker tap along the base of the screen when watching a sporting event the result is just a smooth image with no shudder or choppy motion at all. I hope this helps.
