Hello, I am in need of some assistance, as I am having a bizarre issue with my setup. I have a Shield Pro plugged into my Marantz SR5015 which feeds my Samsung S90D. It’s set up this way due to the Samsung mardarse approach to DTS. Every now and then when I’m watching something via the Shield the screen will go blank and then the no signal image will appear, and I have to try a number of things to get the signal back (change sources, pull the plug on my Shield or turn off the TV). For the life of me I cannot figure it out. I’ve had to turn the CEC off as for some reason the Marantz would keep flicking back to whatever source it was on when it came out of standby. These issues have only presented themselves since upgrading to the Samsung S90D, and I am convinced it is something to do with the handshake between the TV and other devices…..but I am lost. Any suggestions please?
And I watched a lot of expert comparisons in the tube and the comparison of Fomo with Bravia 9. I think that Rtings has gone in a very wrong direction and here the comparisons are no longer appropriate. Incredibly high brightness ratings? And how do they see this brightness in movies? They put the TVs on 100% brightness and measure. If someone can stay w his OLED at 100% brightness, can you also play an LED TV, be it a mini LED, at 100% brightness? And watch a movie? Well, you might see a nice scene …and the rest, especially the dark ones, will be a wall of tears! This is exactly what we saw when Fomo tried to increase the brightness in the video comparing Bravia 7, Bravia 9, and last year’s TCL 8 series. The Sonys looked terrifying! I’m sorry that I can’t put a picture here so you can see exactly what I mean! In the comparison of the QM 7 with the SONY BRAVIA 9, there were very subtle differences, and in details that if you didn’t sit down to compare, you would never see. Also, this TV is now being released, and how many updates has the Bravia 9 had? 8 or 9 may be?
And yet, is there anyone who has ever watched a TV at 100% brightness, especially an expert in rtings?
And if this is really important, it is up to a certain limit! More? it is complete nonsense, except for showing muscles and justifying the high prices.
FYI …. Everytime you are watching HDR content on your tv, you’re watching the tv at 100% brightness. It switches back to whatever settings you had when SDR is again detected
i always wonder what contrast the 85 incher gets , since its a va panel
1008 doesnt break local dimming, it does fix pbp and a few more things, im using it now
the most honest is quantum apotheosis, or quantum tv /s
I hope thats a joke, quantum is so over the top biased and just a plain insecure bully who has a small flock of sheep that buy his nonsense. Seriously, look elsewhere for honest tv reviews, like vincent teoh from hdtvtest or rtings. I work in the cedia industry and design home theater systems for a living so I have a basis for knowledge of the trade. Quantum spits falsehoods in nearly every video, its quite shocking, and if you try to politely debate him, he insults you then erases your comment, totally immature .
Im sorry but I have 20/13 vision and I cant see the grid pattern on the rtings model or my own. I tried seeing it on multiple monitors as well.

We appreciate the feedback, is there something in that review you feel isn’t accurate? Which one would you rate as the best cordless shark vac?
I think the ION P50, The Vertex cordless, or if you dont care for duoclean ,the Rocket Pet Pro with zero m are probably the best options for whole home cleaning.
they have rated the 60 dollar ultracyclone as the BEST cordless shark vac, what is this website becoming?
