I am trying to figure out how to calibrate the white point balance 20 point on calman. In which Workflow and where would each interval be relevant ? Also what settings should I use in HDR getting some bad results
I can recommend the Q90R and the Q90T. The Q80R pales in comparison to both.
60 Hz. You may have to jump up to a 55" panel to get everything you want. I bought a 55Q90T and itโs night and day better than the Q80T, specifically in brightness, build quality, local dimming, and screen uniformity.
The Q9FN might have a problem with thermal expansion (ticking when it heats up or cools down) and a dirtier FALD. I suggest the Q90.
Yeah Samsung has come along way. I am not saying FALD sucks I am just saying that the NU8000 being an edge lit tv is phenomenal. Is FALD and have better blacks of course. I tested andI watched movies in total darkness in the NU8000 and the black levels are really great with no light bleed what so ever..none. Now I might have lucked out on a panel. I have now DSE what so ever. I mean maybe a tiny bit because I think every screen has some but none that I can notice. Now are the black levels INKY no but it looks pretty damn good and I doubt an average customer who hasnt seen an OLED Image wont be saying to themselves that the blacks appear gray. Of course I rather have a Q8 or 9 but damn who wants to spend that much money when 4k isnt even mainstream and tvs will be getting better as mainstream catches on. I only intend to have my tv for a few years then upgrade to the tv technology thatโs better. ๐
Have you run ModernWizeโs hockey DSE test on youtube? It might surprise you.
Just a caveat: if youโre coming from a KS8000, you might notice DSE on your new FALD set, if you go with a Q70/80/90.
I went through four Q7FNs this year that developed a thermal expansion ticking noise after 7-10 days. I would not recommend that model.
It looks like the peak brightness is down substantially vis-a-vis the Q7FN. And it probably has DSE since itโs FALD. And the build looks like it might be subject to thermal expansion ticking.
I agree, the lineup is a bit strange.
