Light to dark gray shadowing on faces of my VIZIO Model M552i-B2.

Have not been able to remove the fuzzy gray shadows on faces. It is so exteme the faces look distorted. I have improved it some by adjusting a variety of picyure control combinations but, at best, that results in a faded or fuzzy overal picture (VIZIO Model M552i-B2). Resetting to facroey default has not been of much help either. How can I correct this issue?
