Works great as a PC monitor 8k / 60 hz

I would like to share my experience. As of Jan 2021 with latest firmware for the q900 tv it is possible to hook tv up to pc via nvidia 3090. In general settings on tv one must enable the “extended hdmi input” checkbox. Once enabled the nvidia card will talk to the tv at 8k 60 hz. I wasn’t entirely sure this would work after reading lots of negative reports online but turns out this works great.
