G27Q vs M27Q USB functionality

I saw that you listed the M as having KVM functionality, but both have the USB ports - is it a software thing in the M that enables the KVM functionality that the G does not have, rendering the USB ports as a simple hub on the G model? That’s my best guess after looking at the review above.
