I would check that the xbox series s actually has 120fps modes for the games your interest in as it doesnโt support all of the 120fps games like the xbox series x.
Actually, in looking more into this, its more worth it to go with the Series X, as far as future proofing. The more and more I look into it just seems like the Series S is a huge bottleneck right now for developers. So good point with that.

Yes, you should be able to force both 1080p and 1440p @ 120 on this TV, but I canโt guarantee that itโll work perfectly. We donโt have this TV anymore, so weโre unable to check this.
