Our Verdict

Sony HT-ST5000

Bose Smart Soundbar 900 with Speakers + Bass Module

The Bose Smart Soundbar 900 with Speakers + Bass Module is better than the Sony HT-ST5000. The Bose is a 5.1.2 setup with discrete satellites. It has better soundstage and surround performances. Also, there are more sound enhancement features, like room correction. However, the Sony is still a very versatile 7.1.2 setup — and unlike the Bose, it has a Full HDMI In port for video passthrough.
