Our Verdict

Sonos Move

Sonos Move 2

The Sonos Move 2 is the next generation of the Sonos Move, and it has some noticeable improvements. Namely, the Move 2 can playback stereo content without downmixing it to mono. Both speakers have a similar design, and while the Move 2 is advertised to have a longer battery life, it performed about the same as its predecessor in our tests.

Why not buy the mini version with identical hardware so you can also get that scanned and into the 3d compare tool? Shape is the same so having this scanned again provides us nothing new. Getting the mini scanned however would be a great addition.

We consider it to be a different product, since we can only have one scan per review. So if there’s enough interest in the mini version as well, we’d consider it in the future!

Hey thanks for reaching out, yes we did buy the 4k Wireless dongle to run extra latency tests! keep an eye out for the review!

What is the Delay At Half Movement with the 4K dongle?

    Hi rtings.com.

Really interesting review and interesting numbers :) But the most interesting for me were sensor latency numbers at 4K. From your review it is impossible to get numbers like Delay At Half Movement for 4K and compare it with other mice. Could you please add those numbers for sensor with maximum speed that it is capable to? (Seems like in this case it is “4K with Motion Sync off”).

For other mice with those 4K dongles I really interested in this information too. You are doing best/most detailed reviews in the internet so I really follow your updates.

Next mice I want to buy is 4K-8K polling speed + very fast sensor tracking, so that is why I’m interested in those measurements “Delay At Half Movement for 4K” and need numbers to compare different sensors in your very convenient table that is really interesting and unique in the entire internet :)

Thanks for doing some testing on this. Would it be possible to get the actual numerical measurements for delay at starting movement, half, and end movement? It’s basically impossible to tell from just the graphs alone. I do appreciate you doing testing for 4K though.

What is the Delay At Half Movement with the 4K dongle?

    @Andrew @Stratrz

Hey, thank you for reaching out! the results with the 4k Polling Rate are: Delay To Start Of Movement: 12.3ms Delay At Half Movement: 3.1ms Delay To End Of Movement: 5.3ms Score: 9.0

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will be including this type of information in our text going forward!

  14. Update: We’ve updated the CPI graph displayed in the Sensor Latency section of this review. Our results remain the same, but these graphs have two new columns with results from the Delay At Half Movement and Delay To End Of Movement tests.

Given the X2H is a different shape, I would love to see a 3D scan added to it. Love the shape of it, and the ZA13 wireless is coming out. There’s no site I could find that has a 3D compare tool between them for me to anticipate the differences between the two.

Maybe we can get a review of the V3 version of the X2H with updated sensor?

eloshapes.com has both of these mice in x / y / z 2-D comparisons, if you want a ‘better than nothing’ option.

We’ve added it to our review pipeline page, we just can’t guarantee a review at this time. If there’s enough user interest though, then we’ll consider buying and testing it!

  18. Update: We’ve added a link to the newly-reviewed VGN Dragonfly F1 Pro Max in the Build Quality section of this review.
