    Hello! Peak brightness should be on ‘High’ in HDR to get the most out of HDR content. SDR is a bit different though. Setting peak brightness to ‘High’ will technically wear out the pixels quicker than having it set to ‘Off’. However, it’s more important that you don’t keep static images on the screen for too long, as that will affect the longevity of the panel the most. If you do set it to ‘High’, just try to keep static images to a minimum and try not to constantly watch TV channels that have static logos that don’t move, like news channels. Movies and TV shows are varied enough that you shouldn’t worry too much about having your brightness set too high. I hope that helps and thanks for reaching out!

    Turning on peak brightness may cause SDR content to appear less accurate. Are you doing it because the content is too dark?

    @BenTrudea Thank you!

    @zer69 Yes, I find SRD in filmmaker mode too dark. HDR/Dolby Vision is perfect. I tried other presets for SDR but I like filmmaker best, that said I lowered the peak brightness to medium in SDR and it looks good. I don’t really watch regular TV or news channels so I should be fine based on Ben’s advice. Thanks!
