    Great picture quality, but our first unit failed within a year and was replaced under warranty. Less than 3 years later, same issues with the replacement set.

    Of course, Samsung was happy to direct me to a repair depot, but didn’t seem surprised at all about the reliability (lack thereof) of this unit. Our TVs get little use in our home, and they’re not used for gaming, PC viewing, etc.

    Out of the box…great set. But, regardless if we’ve just been unlucky by having 2 of this model fail within 4 years doesn’t invite confidence in Samsung’s technology despite some of the Q80’s impressive visuals.

    My set broke after 4.7 years. Samsung said it cannot be replaced nor repaired. It was a shock.

    That’s weird to hear. My unit doesn’t seem to have any noticeable issues. It has been I think around 5 years already up till now. When and where did you purchase it? I’m wondering if it’s just certain batches of it facing such quality issues.
