If youโre playing a 16:9 game from consoles, then the bars would take up 23.8% of the screen (nearly 12% on each side).
Ok. Would that ruin the experience? was looking into getting a QD-Oled monitor because I already have a 55โ LG C2 Tv I just got last year but these QD-OLEDs look like they have a much better gaming experience

I donโt think it would ruin the gaming experience and youโll definitely get fantastic picture quality, but you wouldnโt be using the monitor to the best of its abilities, and you wonโt get a true 4k signal either (like you would on the C2). On top of that, constantly having the black bars on the sides can pose a risk of burning in - so basically itโs not the best display you can get for console gaming, but if you want to get it, youโll definitely enjoy it.
Thank you. Ya that would drive me nuts thinking of burn-in. Iโm already nervous enough playing strategy games like age of empires on the lg c2. So much I barely play it. At most for like an hour or 2. Looks like I should just buy a PC and use it on my C2 until I can save for a QD Oled monitor. Or just get a QD OLED TV. Easier said than done tho
