… this looks more like a soft lock … even more so when you consider how little steel series have been released around the apex proline… NGL I used to work in manufacturing and product dev, and it a widespread practice, even more so in high-end hardware

We just published early access to our test results yesterday. In most respects, the SteelSeries Apex Pro Gen 3 compares favorably to the Apex Pro TKL (2023). However, during testing, we found that the Gen 3 has disappointing actuation accuracy, even after calibration. We’ve decided not to include it on our list of Best Gaming Keyboards for the time being.

On that note, we’ll be updating that article shortly with an entirely new top pick this week, so stay tuned! Our full written review for the SteelSeries Apex Pro Gen 3 is also scheduled for early next week.

I wouldn’t say that the new Gen 3 is meaningfully better for most people at the moment.

The only noticeable changes in the Gen 3 are related to typing noise and sound profile, thanks to several new layers of acoustic material inside the case. They’ve also tuned the stabilizers, but we found this didn’t have much of an impact.

For now, I’d personally recommend the Apex Pro TKL (2023) over the new Gen 3 models, especially given the actuation accuracy issue we encountered and its current pricing compared to the Gen 3’s launch price. That said, we just updated our “Best Gaming Keyboard” article yesterday with some new recommendations in the current market that I’d also suggest checking out.

What they say while marketing the product is not true I use apex pro (2023), which they claim to work 0.1mm or 4.0mm, it does not work properly, for example, when I set 0.1mm and set the fast trigger sensitivity to 0.1mm, when I hold down and move w a s d in games, it stops and moves in between or spams while typing. Video

Does this problem persist on this keyboard or is there such a thing? I think you said that only 0.1mm does not work properly, that is, it is not exactly 0.1mm, but does the spam event persist? (I apologize for my bad English)
