Does eARC support 7.1 LPCM passthrough like the CX?
In your review you mention that “To enable eARC, go to Select HDMI Input Audio Format and choose ‘Bitstream’. Then set Digital Sound Output to ‘Auto’ and toggle eARC Support.”
To me that doesn’t sound like 7.1 LPCM is supported on sources connected via HDMI when using eARC to pass the audio on to an AV receiver?
This works perfectly fine for me on my current CX with my PS5 connected to the TV and sound passed through eARC to the AVR.
Can you confirm that is the case? Considering upgrading to a larger model C1, but if I’m suddenly limited to compressed 5.1 DD, that would be a dealbreaker.
