Honestly, that’s a great point and that might actually have worked better for our unit. So, I went ahead and shared this feedback with our testers and we’ll be sure to keep it in mind moving forward. For what it’s worth though, we set the settings to what we believe will be the best for most people or the average across all units for this model and brand. Only the company (in this case TCL) knows what the most accurate mode is and the tolerance of individual units in this mode, so if the software suggests a movie/calibrated mode, and the warm targets the D65 white point the best, then we use that. Again, just because it isn’t the best for our unit doesn’t mean its not the best for most others with the same TV. Regardless, you brought up a good point and we appreciate the feedback! :)
