I bought a M556-H4 from Costco last weekend since my Panasonic TC-L58E80 died after just 7.5 years. :( The new Vizio has 10 local dimming zones so you can add it to your charts. I was looking at the manual – http://cdn.vizio.com/misc/KBImages/models/2020m6/2021_M556-H1_M556-H4_M656-H4_UM-ENG.pdf – and I see it actually lists two different 55" models for 2020 (H1 and H4). Initially I assumed the two TVs were the same (with all their features being equal) or at least used the same panel, but then I noticed the H1 only consumes 97W while the H4 has a 148W power consumption – so they must be different. After some digging I concluded the panel the 2020 M556-H4 uses is the same one used by the 2019 M556-G4. So my question is – should I use the 2019 settings recommendations or the 2020 settings recommendations when setting up this particular model?
Pretty confident most brands don’t offer a “global warranty” I know samsung doesn’t on TVs
