I’m looking into an OLED for the first time, and it’s making me a bit anxious about certain issues, particularly concerning vertical banding and pink tints on screens. Just how prevalent are these issues? If anyone has watched the My Life in Gaming look at the LG C2, you may know what I mean. I feel like any kind of vertical banding shimmering nonsense could drive me crazy.

I mean, if a 77” OLED fell off the back of a truck or cost $600, I don’t think I’d be worried, lol, but some of these TVs are a big investment! I don’t know if people who are complaining are too OCD, or if the people who don’t complain have blinders on. What’s the real scoop with these things? Feels like it could be such a gamble!

(I have a Nintendo Switch OLED and am in love with the display. I’d love that but…bigger, lol. Thanks for any on-site in advance. )
