I bought a 65S453 (the BJโ€™s Wholesale Club version of the 65S455). While the brightness was more than sufficient for my basement media room, and the overall picture uniformity was impressive, I could not tolerate the off balance color spectrum. Blues and reds are phenomenal. Greens and skin tones almost always looked โ€œwrongโ€. I fiddled with the settings endlessly, and even shamelessly copied the 11-point calibration values (which you arenโ€™t supposed to just blindly copy). I do not have access to proper professional calibration hardware.

At the end of the day, I returned the set and got the 65S555. The difference in color was immediately obvious (at least to me). The 5 Series costs more, but I simply could not live with the colors of the 4 Series. Unfortunately, the only way to know for certain is to buy one and try it out in your own home. Or, just pay more in the first place and avoid the hassle of driving back and forth to the store numerous times.
