Although we have not tested the Burn-in effect of subtitles on OLEDs, we expect that subtitles can cause burn-in. Attached are a few pictures of an LG C7 that one of our visitors has kindly shared with us. These pictures were taken after 7100 hours of TV usage during which content with subtitles was displayed. Green, Magenta, Red, Orange,Yellow, Blue, Cyan, RealContent.

UPDATE Here are the pictures from the same TV after 11500 hours of use. Green, Green-2, Red, Blue-1, Blue-2, Pink, RealContent. We wish to thank our visitor for his contribution.

  1. Update: Weโ€™ve converted this review to Test Bench 1.1. This update adds several new tests addressing Hardware Customization, Macro Keys And Programming, and Wireless Mobile Compatibility. Weโ€™ve also added new objective evaluations to the Typing Noise test, and weโ€™ve simplified several tests and removed several others that were no longer relevant. For an in-depth look at all our changes, you can see our full changelog here.
