Since this keyboard has north-facing LEDs, does that mean the RGB would probably work well with shine-through keycaps?

  3. Update: We’ve corrected an error in the Harware Customizability section of this review. Our initial result for the North-Facing Cherry MX Interference test result was Yes, but we’ve corrected this result to No as this keyboard has South-Facing LEDs that do not create potential interference with Cherry MX style keycaps.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us

We actually made a mistake in our initial review and recorded that this keyboard has North-facing LEDs when in fact, it has South-facing LEDs. We’ve since updated our review and left a note concerning the change.

That said, you were right in thinking North-facing keycaps work best with shine-through keycaps. On the bright side, while south-facing LEDs don’t typically work well with shine-through keycaps, they’re compatible with a wider range of keycap sets.

Sorry about the mixup. Hopefully, that answers your question. Best wishes.

Is there a version of this keyboard with regular cherry stabs, plate mount or screw in?

    Hey CookieClearer!

This particular keyboard doesn’t have any versions with cherry stabilizers, but IQUNIX does produce a couple of different keyboard models available with Cherry stabilizers: the IQUNIX L80 Cosmic Traveller and the IQUNIX OG80 Wormhole.

    Hope that helps.

  7. Update: We’ve added links to the newly-reviewed NuPhy Halo96 [Halo65, Halo75] in the Typing Noise section of this review.

Do you think you can review other enthusiast grade keyboards in the future? I would love to see how much latency they have so I can make sure I’m not getting a keyboard with downright atrocious latency (after seeing the K552’s war crime of a latency. The K552 is not enthusiast grade but I’ve seen lots of people mod it).

Also maybe stop getting the clicky variants of keyboards, if possible. PLEASE.

  9. Update: We’ve converted this review to Test Bench 1.2. This update introduces new Backlight Features and Backlight Clarity test boxes. We’ve also added a new Switches test box, added additional test comparisons to our Ergonomics test box, and made some minor adjustments to the scoring of our Hardware Customizability test box that we introduced with our last Test Bench. For an in-depth look at our changes, you can see our full changelog here..
