I currently own a 55” Sony W900A which has nearly identical contrast and viewing angles to the W950B reviewed here. I’m currently shopping the Sony 65” X950G and newly released X950H. I had been concerned that the x-wide viewing angle feature on the X950H and it’s reduced contrast would bother me. Looking at the W950B’s relatively wide viewing angle and pretty poor contrast compared to these newer TV’s, I’m now wondering if I’ve been focusing too much on this. I suspect the X950H’s contrast will be similar to the new wide-angle Samsung Q80T - about 4 times better than the W900A/W950B! I’ve been pretty happy with w900a in my viewing environment. It’ struggles with reflections and dark scenes/games on sunny days as I can’t eliminate all daylight. Will I be happy with an extra wide panel like the X950H or Q80T, or should I pick up an X950G (for less) while I can?
