Hey! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Unfortunately, this issue can crop up with any mechanical scroll wheel encoder, and it’s something we’ve seen across a wide range of mice. That said, we are seeing more reports than usual with the Endgame Gear XM2w 4K and Endgame Gear XM2we models, so we’ll be adding a small disclaimer in the build quality sections for those mice. We won’t be changing the scores for now, but we’ll keep an eye on the issue and discuss it internally. Once again, we really appreciate you reaching out and flagging this.

I got this mouse for Christmas and while I agree with most of the positives, I want to highlight an issue with the scroll wheel. Not even 3 months in my scroll wheel is already glitching, I can’t scroll in one direction without it jumping in the other occasionally. The support staff said it is a known issue that happens due to dust building up at the sensor. The build quality score should reflect this imo, the scroll wheel behaving like that because of dust shouldn’t be an issue with such an expensive product.
