Hey!
Based off the video you linked, that appears to be macroblocking. It’s usually caused by a low quality source, but it could be a settings issue. If this happens, we’d recommend factory resetting the TV or checking the HDMI cable. However, it isn’t a widespread issue with the TV itself, so I wouldn’t worry about it!

Thx Dylan! Yeah I was kinda worried since several people commented to have similar issues. And, like you said, I thought it would be signal problem or scalling issue. I commented to the youtuber to try a Bluray or High-res mkv/mp4 and see if the same happens.
Regarding my next tv purchase: My first choise was a Sony X90J, but here in Argentina Sony doesnt import'em. So I have to special order'em to an third party importer: Final Cost is around $1450usd.
The Samsung Q70A I have a special discount because I am a stock holder in Mirgor, the company that “makes” Samsung in Argentina. Final Cost: $830 in 12 payments with 0% interest.
Based on your reviews and my previous experience with Sony Tv’s, that the X90J is superior to the Q70A and I trully wanted an Local Dimming lcd this time for my home-cinema room.
However, given the cost difference, would you consider that the Samsung is better, even without local-dimming?
Thanks a lot for your inputs and recommendatios!

It’s absolutely my pleasure! As for your TV purchase, that’s a bit of a tough one. The X90J has a pretty good local dimming implementation, so it’s definitely worth considering. Some TVs don’t and in those cases it would would matter less. The issue is whether or not it’s worth 600$ more. Honestly, the Q70A still has fantastic contrast and black uniformity, so it should still be a good fit for your theatre room. However, the X90J is the better overall option for that specific usage. If you’re comfortable spending the extra money and you’re only using it for your dedicated theatre room, I think it might be worth it. However, if it’s going to be an ‘every-day’ use TV, then it becomes less worth it. Hope this helps!
