I have to agree with bassochist - the PG279QM is virtually impossible to find in the UK and the ones you can find are £700-900 cos they are old stock. They’ve been replaced with (I think - you’re the experts…) the XG27AQ. Which is currently less than £400 in Black Friday deals.

what about the hp omen 27qs? wouldn’t that be better than the aw2723df? has lower response times and basically everything else except input lag and having worse out of the box colors? any thoughts is the aw2723df actually better?

You’re right that the HP OMEN 27qs is a great choice, and you can read the full comparison with it versus the AW2723DF here. Unfortunately the HP isn’t always the easiest to find through most retailers, but if you can find it, it’s a great choice. It doesn’t have an overclock feature like the Dell, but it gets brighter and has much better reflection handling.
