Recommended backlight settings for bright/dark rooms?
One of my biggest frustrations with TV’s is trying to figure out what to set the backlight to when I’m in a bright room vs a dark room for the most accurate picture.
I know backlight doesn’t affect picture quality, but I don’t want the image to be too light or dark and look washed out.
What is the recommended standard backlight, or one for a bright or dark room? In a well-lit room, I typically set it to 35, but I have no idea what to put it on when I turn the lights out.

Update: We’ve made minor updates to the text and noted that the Sur La Table Touchscreen 2-Slice Toaster has been out of stock lately with some retailers but is available via the manufacturer’s website.
