Hello and thank you for contacting us. The glass is there for aesthetic reasons. What matters is the build quality. Both the C8 and the B8, - that have no glass - have the same excellent build quality with the E8 and should not cause any issues.

No, there are many users at AVS that complain of โ€œwavesโ€ in their panels. Be careful to dismiss this too early.

Why do you think our HDR brightness levels are off? They are inline with other reviews. Thanks for the information about the bend! Just FYI - The picture from my computer to the TV looks amazing.

It definitely does 4:4:4 based on the test image, right?

I returned my TCL 615 from best buy because of the motion handling, and a p55-f1 because the upscaling was garbage and the image from my computer was terrible.

Youโ€™re probably right about the brightness levels, but for some reason, this H9e plus, that Iโ€™m typing on right now, is incredible to me. I bought an 55" e8, so weโ€™ll see how that does. :)

This 55" H9e Plus displays great 4:4:4 chroma - maybe they updated it? I still think they have a bad set, considering their black levels and the bend in their screen.

Yeah, I can see that. But I definitely donโ€™t think the TCL is a โ€œwowโ€. I got the 65" for $750, and Iโ€™m trying to figure out of buying the Vizio PQ is worth double the price. 50% more price for the regular P series isnโ€™t really amazing to me either. :(
