I’m really surprised to see you say the benq ht4550i is less accurate out of the box than the x3000i as the 4550i comes calibrated by the factory with a copy of the calibration in the box. Any rbe with the x3000i? Other than that, excited to see you guys doing pj reviews

Hi! We looked and we couldn’t find any certificate of calibration in our HT4550i box even though they do advertise it on their website. We’re wondering if perhaps the calibration is only available in certain regions? Nevertheless the HT4550i certainly wasn’t bad out-of-the-box, it was good actually. Most projectors we’ve reviewed are way worse than that when we first set them up. Its color temperature leaned too warm, but aside from that it was solid!
Update: Verified that our picks are still available and modified the text to improve clarity.

Update: Confirmed that our picks are still widely available. The BenQ x3000i is harder to find than it used to be, but you can still find it on Amazon and other online stores.
