Hello. Lately I have been trying some TV’s, mainly because I haven’t found one that I like or has issues (budget TV’s under $500). So far I have tried the Amazon 4 series, but it was too dark, then the Hisense U6GR5, and while I liked the picture quality, it had some problems like sometimes it flickered, or was randomly getting dark, or the screen got zoomed in while the VRR was on on the Xbox… plus it says it has 2.1 HDMI ports and it doesn’t.

So I came to this new Toshiba M550, which is supposedly and upgrade on this one, the C350. But I have not found any real reviews anywhere, plus Amazon, BestBuy and even Toshiba pages have different information. For instance Amazon and BestBuy say it has 120 Hz panel, and that was the main reason I chose it, but Toshiba page says the 55 inch is a 60 Hz, only the 65 and 75 inch have a 120 Hz panel, but the 55 inch is the only one being sold… Also VRR isn’t advertised, but it shows as active on the Xbox.

So, the question is (after all that, sorry), is there a way I can verify if the panel really is 120 Hz? That was the main reason I choose this one, and if it’s not I am going to return it.

Second question, any recommendations on realiable TV’s under $500, I saw many Hisenses in your page, but the one I just had had many issues, plus I see they don’t have very good customer support…
