65" Differences?

What makes the 65" panel so much less expensive? It looks like it was introduced specifically to be sold at $250 (inflated “base” price of $500) for Black Friday. At the sale price, it costs a lot less than any other 65" TV. It even costs less than the 55" model! Its price is an outlier in the rest of the market, so there must be something different about that panel but the specs seem to be identical.

The back panel separation issue has been greatly exaggerated. It is present in our KS8000 unit, as shown in our video review. It's only a cosmetic issue, just a small gap visible at the corners. It doesn't affect picture quality. As far as we know the KS9000 does not suffer from the same issue.
