Hi guys,

I want to start off by saying that the service you offer was sorely needed and is still sadly missing in many fields. It's great to get standardized tests with objective reviews.

I was wondering if you guys were aware of the problem Vizio sets are having with a visual glitch that seems to affect upscaling. Many users are reporting a problem with a white line appearing for a few frames sporadically, usually no more than 5-10 times an hour. There are many reports on Reddit and avsforums, and I have experienced it with my second unit now. I've contacted Vizio but they seemed unaware of the issue, or refused to acknowledge it as a known problem.

I think it would be worth mentioning this simply so buyers know what's happening if it happens to them. I'm still convinced I made the right purchase as this is likely just a software issue.

If you have any insight, have heard about this, or have ways of finding out Vizio's position on the matter, many people would surely appreciate it. I certainly would!

Thanks again for all your hard work, and keep doing what you're doing.

Hi, i purchased this after subscribing as a insider which helped me make the right decision. I just wanted to know if there was any testing of what the voice setting does exactly and hpw it affects the frequency response.

Hello, and thanks for your support DANOFDANGER. The Voice mode is described by Sony as “enhancing dialog range”. This is typically done by increasing the volume and possibly reducing the dynamic range of the frequency range where you’ll typically find the dialog. This is intended to help with dialog intelligibility. This can be useful for certain content with challenging soundtracks, content like news, rooms with too much echo, or for people with hearing issues.
