Hey, as always, I used your review to help me decide between a few TVs. I ended up with an EG9600 which I love. I noticed you changed your review notes to show that the EG is brighter than the EF from 50% down but in the actual reviews, the EF beats the EG slightly in peak brightness. I'm wondering, is this something I would notice on normal content? Like a higher perceived contrast ratio? (I tend to watch blu rays and PS4 games with medium dynamic contrast, OLED light 80, contrast high, and brightness at about 45). This might be bad in your opinion but I really enjoy the way content looks with these settings, I do not care if it's not accurate. Would I notice a difference between these 2 TVs? I owned the EF9500 for a week and I have these vague feelings that the picture was slightly better.

    Hey there!

Since this isnโ€™t something we tested on this TV, I canโ€™t say for sure what kind of impact it has. Generally speaking though, since input lag adds processing, we do expect it to have at least some impact on input lag. However, it shouldnโ€™t add a very noticeable amount of lag. So, if it isnโ€™t something youโ€™re particularly sensitive to, then you can probably get away with enabling local dimming without any issues. Worst case scenario, if it bothers you, simply turn it back off!
