Hello,
On my 2019 Vizio PX75G1 I was very easily able to calibrate white balance in non-HDR, 4K mode using calibration software and hardware.
Unfortunately, in both HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats, I was not able to calibrate at all. I am using HDR10 and Dolby Vision formatted test patterns. The TV did not respond in a linear or meaningful fashion to + or – adjustments of RGB at any level from 10% to 90%. (Yes I am using format-appropriate calibration tests for each of these modes).
Sometimes the adjustments had the reverse effect or a non-correlating effect (increasing green reduced green, increasing blue increased red). Most times there was no effect at all (any significant change to the RG or B value resulted in no change to any of the three).
I am assuming this is a Vizio issue, unless there are any known issues with white calibration of HDR formats?

Same
comment deletedHello, do you have any news about a possible evaluation of the helmet?
At this time, we won’t be buying and testing it as there isn’t enough user interest. If there’s continued interest though, then we’ll reconsider!

Same…
mmx 200 should also be considered
I think it can be a good competitor to the wired Maxwell. Difficult to find serious tests. And as soon as it talks about video games, audiophiles look elsewhere. Yet more than ever people are looking for a headset that can do everything. Video Games, Film and of course music. And these three activities are all at home. So a wired headset is perfectly suited. The microphone is a plus but is not an obligation because you can easily find separate microphones whether on boom or lavalier or even which attaches to your helmet.
We can do it !
I feel like this headset is particularly special and needs to have a review. I’ve been searching for the right gaming headset for over 2 years now with disappointment after disappointment and finally found the one that takes itself seriously. So many gaming headsets sacrifice sound quality for “gamer features” and a sound profile tuned for “footsteps” that just makes the entire thing sound muddy and impossible to pick anything out because they simply don’t have the quality of drivers to emphasize that much bass without it cluttering the mix. Even the supposed best of the best, like the Astro A50 and Steelseries Nova Pro are sub-par in terms of sound quality. The MMX 300 is the first time in years I’ve heard actual CLARITY from a gaming headset.
The MMX 300 is also becoming a favorite within the pro gaming community for these reasons.
Shocked to find out this hasn’t already been reviewed, well let’s make it happen.
A Beyerdynamic gaming headset?
this would be awesome to see.
The product has won our suggestion poll, so we’ll buy and test it soon. Follow this thread for updates!
lots of expectation for this test :)
How long does it usually take to get out of the lab?
Our testers have started testing this product; is there anything specific you’re looking to see? Let us know in this thread.
well I gotta say better late than never, this is one of the best headsets ever made so you had to have it in your reviews
Such a good headphone ruined by Beyerdynamic’s infamous treble peak of death. +15 dB at 8.5 kHz is insane
I just bought these headphones on Amazon and they replied €220. I feel a little strange about them and I don’t know if I should return them. I still have 4 days left.
It is mainly for playing, which headphones would be better, I don’t care about the price with a range between €300 and €500. Is there one that is better for playing and has a microphone?

My only advice is this: if you are not sure whether you should keep the headphones, it’s probably better to return them. I once kept some headphones that I didn’t enjoy much, just because many people thought that model was great, and I really regretted it. If you are not confident about your headphones, try another model.
You can check RTINGS “Best gaming headsets” article and try one of these.
update…I just built a MixAmp Pro TR Gen3 (model: MA3P03) since before I used the motherboard itself, which in this case is an Asus formula Z490. I ask from absolute ignorance, and I don’t control anything about the MixAmp, could I improve the response or refine the response of the test on your website with this DAC? lowering the treble a little at 8khz? Or is there some type of profile that I could upload for these headphones to the astro command center?

Treble response can vary between units and also depends on your ear canal. You could hear a treble spike at a different frequency. My advice is to use a tone generator (you can search for “online tone generator”) in order to find any significant volume spikes and create a custom equalizer to improve the response. You can also use “Equalizer APO” to equalize your headphones on a Windows PC.
We’ve just released a new video featuring the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 (2nd Generation) here.
This is listed as not having a mic in the table.
Update: The Microphone Style test has been corrected to indicate these come with a mic.
