When PWM dimming frequency is 960Hz, the score is 9.9 in the scoring table. However when higher than 1000Hz, even to 30000Hz, the score becomes only 9.0. What is the reason for higher frequency but lower score?
Unfortunately, this is a known limitation of our current test. When we designed the test we looked at it mainly from the perspective of motion handling, so our scoring places a greater importance on whether or not the frequency is cleanly divisible by 60Hz. The good news is, weโre aware of the issue, and a fix has already been implemented on our next test methodology. The updated results should be posted in a few months.
