This test assumes that the frame rate of the movie is โ€œ24.000fpsโ€, i.e., integer frame rate. However, some movies in the world use โ€œ23.976fpsโ€, i.e., fractional frame rate. (For example, almost all animation works produced in Japan are produced at fractional frame rate.) Do video signals using fractional frame rate cause problems with the judder reduction process?

Although this isnโ€™t something weโ€™ve deeply investigated, we expect the results of the 24p judder test to also be valid for fractional frame rates like 23.976 or 29.97.
